The National Trust are running their ‘Summer of play’ in the Walled Garden at Ickworth over the school holidays. Wishing to have a special emphasis on sport to join in with the Olympics, SuffOC have been invited to run some ‘come and try it’ orienteering sessions. We have chosen Tuesday 6th, Thursday 15th and Thursday 22nd August. Would you like to come and help?With a new map of the Walled Garden and surrounding area being created at this moment by Steve Pretty, we hope to offer the chance of 1/3/5 control clover leaf courses in the Walled Garden and a longer course that will go outside and around the area.  We may also do some training exercises in the Garden to practice relevant skills before trying some courses.  The sessions are billed to run from 10am till 15.30.We have a team of at least three people already signed up but having some more members joining us will allow the offer of shadowing or 1 to 1 coaching and may spread the load if it proves to be popular.
