26 members of SUFFOC travelled down to East Sussex for the 2026 Compass Sport Trophy final. This is only the fifth time SUFFOC have qualified for the final, so it is an honour to be invited to compete as a club at this prestigious event.
The event was hosted by Mole Valley Orienteering Club at Pippingford Park near Uckfield. There was a well organised parking area adjacent to the arena and we were able to erect the club tent close to the run-in.
The weather was mostly kind to us, only having one or two showers right at the end of the day, and we did well to come 9th in the Compass Sport Trophy competition ahead of both NOR and LOG who had beaten us in the heat at Brandon Country Park back in February.
Details of our scorers are shown here, but even if some of us weren’t one of the top 13 scorers to make our total of 1128 points, we may have pushed other club scores down. So it was fantastic to have so many SUFFOC competitors.
Not forgetting Skye Hodkinson who won the Golden String trophy.
