I hope you all enjoyed the event despite the weather being wetter than I had expected. A change of allowed parking area meant that I wanted to keep as much space as possible for parking, and so sited registration and download at the path junction, which meant a bit of a trek from the car park.
We were trying Fabian 4 for pre-entry and apologies to those of you who went straight to the start by-passing the pre-entry desk at registration and missed out on your control descriptions.
My small but willing band of helpers made my life very easy on the day and I only had to break into a trot once between the start and the car park!
Thanks again to all of them, Martin for his interesting courses and Clive Tant of SOS for his very efficient controlling. I received lots of compliments on the day and afterwards via email on the well run event.
Also thanks to Forestry England for their permission to use the area and explaining their new logo.

Whatever view competitors might have about the quality and challenge of East Anglian forests, I am in no doubt that they generally present a challenge to the planner to provide interesting courses within the recommended guidelines. The results and the comments from so many competitors are testimony to my view that Martin Hore achieved this across the spectrum of all courses. It was a pleasure to work with Martin and with Rod Mansel who, along with all the SUFFOC organising team, demonstrated an efficiency and experience which made my responsibilities easier to manage and made for a good event for all.
