This course is situated in the Pinewood & Belstead areas of SW Ipswich. If driving to the area you can park adjacent to the Chestnut Tree Farm Inn. The marked 'Start/Finish' is at the Broad Meadow road junction, just off Scrivener Drive, opposite Aldi. The course is timed - you'll receive points for each control you visit (& some controls are worth more than others), but have them deducted if you're over the time allowed!
The course covers both residential areas (housing estates ranging from 1960s to 2000s developments) and Belstead Brook Park. It's definitely multi-terrain, crossing tarmac, surfaced paths & meadows. The busy Scrivener Drive needs to be crossed to reach the start from the parking area & care will be needed crossing the estate roads while on the course. Under 16s should be accompanied by an adult.
Please note - this course was first used for the MapRun Challenge on 13th June 2022 & the course will remain available for you to try in your own time if you were unable to join us on the evening of the Challenge.
