At the end of the Summer Series 2016 there will be the opportunity for Club Members to nominate individuals for the Simon Peck Summer Series Award 2016 for the most enjoyable/ challenging event, the most ingenious/ devious/ frustrating event, the most improved orienteer over the series or for any other reason connected to this summer's events.
The Results are now up for the Compass Sport Qualifier held at Hatfield Forest at the weekend. Thanks to all our competitors - we came a very respectable second, only 22 points behind the winning team from SOS. Congratulations to our 4 class winners: Barney, Tim, Will and Sarah.
Congratulations to our Mini relay team - Ben, Theo & Barney - for yet again winning the Bronze medal in a major event, this time at the British Championships on Brown Clee over the weekend....
Just a reminder that SuffOC members have been invited to attend the Essex Stragglers' coaching sessions over the coming months. The May session will concentrate on sprint technique and in June the focus will be on contours, using our mapped area in Bridge Wood, Orwell Country Park....
