The final event in our 2017 Simon Peck Summer Series will be held in the popular Haughley Park, near Stowmarket. Beginners are welcome to "Come & try orienteering" in a rural parkland & woodland setting & will learn to do a "score event" - which means visiting as many controls as you can in the time allowed (45 minutes). There will also be an additional challenge - the Chase course - for those with more experience. Registration will be from 10:00 to 10:30: everyone on the Chase course will start together at 10:45 and those on the normal score course at 11:00. Electronic timing with SI cards will be used (newcomers will be able to borrow these).

Training: this time we're offering the possibility of someone shadowing you if you're not very experienced. The "shadow" will follow you without helping (unless you're totally stuck!!) & give you constructive advice afterwards. If you're interested please contact Will Harrison at

For SuffOC members, the 2017 AGM will be held at Blackbourne Centre, Elmswell at 12:30.

PLEASE NOTE: the date has changed from the one originally published.
