Once you complete your course you'll receive a signed Ipswich-O 2022 Passport to show your achievement, & this will enable you to enter our Bridge Wood, Clare & Needham Lake Summer Series events free of charge. If you've already received a Passport at the Christchurch Park event, don't forget to bring it to Holywells to collect the second signature!

  • Ipswich-O 2022 got off to a flying start in beautiful weather in Christchurch Park yesterday afternoon, with many young entrants completing their course and proudly receiving their Passport of Achievement, as you can see. Fifty-five people took part, many of them in groups, and the results have now been uploaded to the website. Our thanks to all those volunteers who helped to make the event a success.

The next event will be in Holywells Park on Sunday 22nd May, starting at 13:00 - full details are here.

  • Congratulations to one of our Juniors, Olivia Radcliffe, on being selected for this year's training camp at Lagganlia in the Scottish Highlands. The camp is based at at the Outdoor Education Centre in the Spey valley, to the south west of Aviemore, and those attending will be training on the excellent orienteering areas in the vicinity. The camp only caters for 24 Juniors and those invited to attend will have undergone a tough selection process after first qualifying by reaching a high standard at the JK or the various British or Regional Championships.

Further information can be found on the JROS website.

  • Our series of Ipswich-O 2022 events is starting soon. These events, sponsored by Sport England, are designed for families, juniors, beginners & improvers - anyone, in fact, who enjoys exploring in the outdoors! At each event there'll be 3 courses to choose from and we'll help you understand the detailed map and how to use the timing system. Once you've completed your course you'll have your achievement listed in an Ipswich-O Passport - & that will give you free entry into our Simon Peck Summer Series events so you can practise your skills!

You can find details of the first event, in Christchurch Park, here.

Our series of MapRun Challenges is ongoing. These informal 60 minute score courses are tracked and timed using your Android or iPhone GPS & the MapRun6 app - and, if we start at roughly the same time, provide a chance to meet up for a chat & refreshments afterwards. All are welcome - the next one is in the Ravenswood area of Ipswich and the details are here.

  • SuffOC was well-represented at the British Long Distance & Relay Championships on March 26 & 27th. The events took place in tough heathland & woodland areas near Liphook in Surrey - and our team came third in the Junior Ad Hoc class! Our congratulations to Ben, James & Theo on their podium place, & to all the others who took part on various courses over the two events.
